The August Online Meetup

Hello World!

On 1st August 2020, we had an amazing CodeZone Online Meetup via Zoom and we feel indebted to update y’all on the take homes from the same.

We would like to thank all members that attended the Meetup amidst known data challenges obviously caused by the Covid19 lockdown. You are awesome 👌🏾

To our new members who also actively participated in the Meetup, we look forward to learning a lot from each other as we continue to set focus onto our Objectives of the organization. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.

The Meetup was hosted by the CEO, Boub IT alongside Letowon Saitoti and the following are the notable highlights of the discussion.

  • Both online and physical Meetups to be made as often as possible to keep the beneficiaries (Mentees) aware of their intended goal of the mentorship program.
  • Our Volunteer Mentors to pick mentees and preferably have a Mentorship agreement to guide both parties in the mentorship process.
  • University students advised to reboot into learning mode with the available tools they can ably access. Lockdown will eventually end and it would be good to return to campus with a fired up mind ready to resume studies.
  • Next online meetings to be held via Google Meet since we were having troubles with the previous platform.
  • Mentor Lord Phillip Waiswa donated a domain for #CodeZone and we were live online at codezoneug.com from 1st August 2020. Thank you Phillip! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

We thank once again those that attended and in particular the ladies Sharon Akol from Pyladies Kampala and Lailah Grant. We also thank our visitors on this website for following and supporting our causes.

Thank you all!
