CodeZone Mentorship

Code made easy for Newbies

CodeZone is an awesome Beginner-friendly non-profit organization where volunteer Geeks in Uganda inspire & mentor University freshmen in the Computing world (particularly in Code).

ABOUT

MORE ABOUT US

Code

Computer Programming, unlike other course units at University requires dedication and determination if one’s goal is to actually become a developer in the Tech world. At CodeZone, we are your code buddies that will hold your hand and guide you through this amazing journey.

Mentor

Life at University can consume you and you find yourself in the vice of reading only for exams. While this may help you graduate, it won’t really skill you for coding as a career. At CodeZone, we keep you engaged with relevant content that will keep you focused on the career path.

Train

With the amazing multi-talented team of volunteers at CodeZone, we spare time to find a means to keep the organisation running by doing paid trainings of staff of organisations that want a piece of our expertise to reflect in their projects and/or activities.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CAUSES

Our Mission is to assist each other through our academic and/or professional journey as we virtually and where possible physically share knowledge and resources in a relatively free, relaxed and exciting manner in order to empower the next generation of Developers that love their career. We do that, by creating educational programs and providing necessary resources in underprivileged areas. We are currently not funded, and therefore we rely entirely on an amazing team of volunteers.

OUR MOTTO

DON’T WAIT UNTIL LATER

We don’t just go to university to get a degree but rather develop and/or acquire a skill or more in our intended career goals after school. The mindset of graduating is not worth the lost time at university when we have acquired nothing or just enough to get us on the Graduation List. The world out there is looking for the skills and CodeZone focuses on that.
