About Us

Our Beliefs

CodeZone is an awesome beginner friendly online coding mentorship platform based in Kampala, Uganda. We believe in a world where everyone can read and write code.

Our Mission is to assist each other through our academic and/or professional journey as we virtually and where possible physically share knowledge and resources in a relatively free, relaxed and exciting manner in order to empower the next generation of Developers that love their career. We do that, by creating educational programs and providing necessary resources in underprivileged areas. We are currently not funded, and therefore we rely entirely on an amazing team of volunteers.

I remain forever grateful. I learn something new from you every day. Thank you for providing me such a strong foundation in programming that could have been confusing.

Our inspiration in this field was mostly drawn from you, I remember way back in 2016 when I joined the university I had a Computer Science year 1 friend at MUST who showed me one of her programming projects and added that she had achieved it from a certain group called the #CodeZone. I joined the #CodeZone and spread the Gospel at KIU where my mates also joined. We have achieved more from the group. Thank you once again Boub!

BCS – Kampala International University

I knew some little C programming which I had taught myself out of love. Together with Boub⁩ and a few other group members, we used to conduct classes from this group. It really helped me a lot because I was forced to learn advanced concepts all by my own for the sake of the group. I even used to prepare study material customized for this group.
